BELLE MEADE. Located in an exclusive neighborhood, this upscale shop specializes in antique European silver and jewelry. Silver runs the gamut, representing everything from reproduced 18th-century Tiffany pieces to authentic Georgian and Victorian items. You'll also want to take a look at their impressive Paul Storr collection ­ exquisite examples of craftsmanship by the famous 19th-century royal silversmith.

SOUTH NASHVILLE. Corzine and Company, located south of downtown, boasts an impressive selection of porcelain and silver, including candlesticks, plates and serving pieces. Corzine and Company also carries in Annieglass ­ delightful sculpted glass dinnerware handcrafted by Ann Morhauser.

8TH AVENUE SOUTH. This shop houses antique auctions representing the goods belonging to any variety of antique merchants. The owner occasionally closes shop in order to inventory as well as receive new shipments, so it may be a good idea to call before paying them a visit. The antiques range from home accessories to home furnishings.

8TH AVENUE SOUTH. Encompassing over 40 vendors shops and 13,000 square feet of floor space, the Downtown Antique Mall is actually located in an old, restored warehouse. With the number of dealers on the premises (upwards of 50), there is no end to the amount of items you may find here. The items generally range from Art Deco-style home accents to furniture by Chippendale, but it's possible to find rare china and unique odds and ends. Plan for a whole afternoon, as you will most likely need it here!
